Busy isn’t a strategy.

Neither is one person doing everything.

You don’t need more content.

You need a brand that actually sounds like you, and a team that knows how to build it.

We do that. Nothing else.

Most businesses are asking one person to do too much.

Strategy, Content. Social Media. Messaging. Campaigns. Analytics.

I’ve been in that position–expected to carry everything and somehow make it all connect.

So when it doesn’t, it’s not because you’re not trying.

It’s because your marketing doesn’t have the structure it needs to work.

HOW WE THINK

This is how we work.

Nobody does it quite like this.

01

Lived Experience as Strategy

A TCM FRAMEWORK™

Most agencies start with you competitors. We start with you your history, your instincts, the things you’ve survived and built through. That’s not soft. That’s data. The sharpest brand strategies aren’t borrowed from a template. They’re excavated from the truth of who you are and what you’ve earned the right to say.

02

Identity as Architecture

A TCM FRAMEWORK™

Your brand isn’t a logo. It’s a structure – and everything you build sits on top of it. When identity is unclear, everything downstream gets wobbly: the messaging, the content, the offers, the audience you attract. We architect identity first, so the rest of the work has something solid to stand on.

These aren’t buzzwords. They’re the reason our clients stop sounding like everyone else.

The Misfits Method™

SO, IS THIS YOU?

We started this for

the ones agencies don’t know what to do with

A tidy workspace with a wooden desk, white chair, laptop, camera, and desk lamp. A large framed poster reads 'GET SHIT DONE,' and there's a green potted plant and small wooden decor on the desk.

Underrepresented founders. Female-led. LGBTQIA-led. Minority-owned. Startups no one knows what to do with. The ones who’ve had to work twice as hard for half the visibility – and sat across from agencies that still got it wrong.

THE TEMPLATE PROBLEM

They handed you something that could’ve belong to anyone.

Same fonts. Same tone. Same strategy they use for every client. You lef the meeting feeling smarter than you walked in.

THE TRANSLATION PROBLEM

You spent the whole discovery call explaining yourself.

Your community. Your context. Why your audience doesn’t respond to conventional messaging. They nodded. Then built you something conventional anyone.

THE VISIBILITY PROBLEM

They knew how to market to your audience. Not as you.

There’s a difference. A big one. And it shows in every campaign that performed fine but felt like someone else’s brand.

THE ROOM PROBLEM

You were the only one in the room who looked like your customer.

And somehow you still had to convince them your instincts were right. Your lived experience isn’t a bias. It’s a competitive advantage. We treat it that way.

Why we’re

At The Curated Misfits, we don’t need you to explain yourself. We start where else skips – who you actually are, what you’ve built through, and what you’ve earned the right to say. Your identity isn’t a complication to work around. It’s the foundation we build on. That’s not a soft approach. That’s the sharpest we know.

different.

If that’s you –

Built from Identity

Hi, I’m Anisa.

I created The Curated Misfits because I saw too many brands losing themselves to follow trends.

And because I’ve been on the inside.

I’ve been the only marketing coordinator expected to do everything–strategy, content, social, campaigns–and somehow make it all work.

I know what that pressure feels like.

And I also know what happens when there’s no real strategy behind it.

It becomes noise.
It becomes inconsistent.
And it stops connecting.

So I built something different.

Not just an agency—but a way for businesses to have the clarity, structure, and support they actually need.

Because your brand shouldn’t feel like something you’re trying to keep up with.

It should feel like something you own.
